360 degree videos are immersive, spherical video recordings where all directions are recorded simultaneously. This requires an omnidirectional camera or collection of cameras set up to achieve the 360 view.
360 video can be fantastic or it can be hugely distracting, and if viewing on a headset – overwhelming!
Constructed carefully and with focus – it can be an amazing tool.
A 360 video viewed on Facebook or Youtube is simply considered a 360 video.  A 360 video viewed through a VR headset, is considered virtual reality.
Capturing 360 video doesn’t have to be complicated, but there are a few things to consider.
Session 1 – 10.00 – 10.50
  • Introduction / Samples /Showcase
  • 360 Workflow – capture – stitching – rendering 360 video content for editing.
Session 2 – 11.00 – 11.50
  • Similarities between 360 and standard video editing
  • Main pitfalls and tips on the transition to 360 editing.
Session 3 – 12.00 – 12.30
  • 3D vs 360 workflows,
  • client relationships, empathy
  • hardware.
Session 4 – 2.00 – 3.30

  • rendering in 360.

Close – 3.30 – 4.30
